A Lifeless Ordinary

An April Day Out

Melbourne weather doesn’t always play fair when it comes to photography, so today we made the most of the overcast even light and were occasionally graced with a few choice beams of sunlight piercing through the clouds.

I managed to pull off at least the one backlit shot of my son and made it purposefully soft in post-processing to emulate the ever so popular toy camera lenses that Instagram has successfully emulated.

The photo of my eldest was purposefully edited to again emulate that luscious lo-fi feel with the purposeful capture of the sun flare and the grain of the older vintage analog film types.

Sorry about the prominent watermarks, unfortunately it’s become all too necessary these days to take this approach to online image sharing as there are far too many cases of images stolen and re-used without attribution.
